MNA Jamshed Dasti, who is under fire for exposing alleged immoral activities at the Parliament Lodges presented empty liquor bottles which were recovered from alleys of the lodges. He criticized the statement of the Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, who earlier rejected Dasti’s allegations. Dasti said that he will present this proof to the Speaker of the National Assembly.
He again reiterated his allegations that immoral activities including private dance parties have been held at the lodges, adding he will also present a video of one such party. Dasti lamented he is being criticized for highlighting immoral activities of those involved. He demanded that an inquiry commission should be constituted to verify his claims.
Earlier, Nisar said that Parliament Lodges are fully secured as 77 policemen in addition to several intelligence officials are assigned for security of the lodges. As many as 23 cameras are also installed in the building and as such activities couldn’t be carried out in the lodges.
“If honorable member (Dasti) has any specific detail or evidence about any specific incident, then I am still ready to investigate the matter,” he said.
Dasti’s allegations have been refuted by many parliamentarians while Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq has asked him to submit evidences to verify these allegations.
